Road Apples by The Tragically Hip, here in a 30th Anniversary Edition red pressing, captures the band at their leanest and most streetwise. Little Bones barrels forward, while Long Time Running stretches out with that unhurried, smoky sway. Fiddlers Green remains the quiet gut-punch, Gord Downie leaving space between lines that lingers a bit longer here. This pressing gives the riffs more air and the low end sits deeper, which suits the room-mic grit and those twin guitars.
