Putriditys Ignominious Atonement is Italian brutal death pared to bone, all sizzle-free attack and sudden gear shifts. The openers gravity-blast fakeout snaps into a mean slam before you can blink, and a midalbum pause-for-breath makes the following riff hit like a trapdoor. Closer-wise, there is a wicked stopstart lurch that will make any Disgorge fan grin, though Putridity keep it tighter and more surgical than their American cousins. Cut at 45RPM, this LP gives the drummers bursts more breathing space and the low end sits deeper without smearing the guitars.
