Rebellion, with Daron Malakian, rides a spiky, down-picked riff that actually swings, while Guilty All the Same lets Rakim cut clean lines through a storm of palm-mutes. Spread across two records, guitars and drums get more space, and the low end sits deeper. The sequence feels like a band in a room, heavy but focused, a deliberate break from the slicker detours that came earlier.
