Rising soul jazz organist Sam Fribush, four-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Ari Teitel (The Rumble, Dumpstaphunk), and Lettuce mastermind/drummer Adam Deitch have joined forces to form a new trio, DTF, and shared their debut single, Chester. The track is set to appear on their debut album, Another Side Of The Sound, out digitally May 23rd.

The new project builds on the traditional organ trio format, blending Fribushs studied, gospel-influenced polyphonic approach with Deitchs modern, hip-hop-tinged future funk beats and Teitels smooth guitar grooves. Recorded straight to tape without a click track at Colorado Sound Studios, the trios debut LP sounds both timeless and contemporary, with a mix of original compositions and eclectic coversfrom The Allman Brothers Bands Midnight Rider to Bell Biv DeVoes 1990 new jack swing anthem Poison.
